Let's Catch Up - October

So many of you know that we adopted two more kids about six weeks ago. We'll get to that soon. First let's play catch up...starting with October.

With Benjamin in school, I had time to take Sadie to the nut and pumpkin farm for a little fall fun.

She rode the ponies, ran through the hay bale maze, checked out the farm animals, and took home a pumpkin.

October was probably the height of the kids' obsession with building "castles" out of pillows.

It always starts out a lot of fun. Lots of nooks and crannies into which they would wedge themselves.

But inevitably a leg or bum would dislodge a precariously balanced pillow...

and then we would get A LOT OF THIS:

We also celebrated my grandma's 90th birthday with a big party. Here we are at that shindig:

We finally got a nice family portrait which is now outdated:

And for Halloween, the kids decided on their own costumes.  Benjamin was dying to be a skeleton, and Sadie declared that she would be a "skewcwow."

Mama and the hot glue gun pulled off this beauty.

And nothing could beat the $10 steal I found on this monstrosity.

At this point in the evening, Benjamin was not cooperating on anything, so this is the best family photo we could get. Can you guess who Mama and Papa were?
